Fenced Garden
The Landhaus Kaprun has a fenced garden with some shady sunbathing areas. While the owners relax by the pool, their dogs can rest comfortably in the shade. All dogs who still have energy can use the nearby trails for a walk. These holiday homes are dog friendly.

Dog Park at the Salzach Kaprun
The Kaprun dog park is located east of Kaprun Moos, on the right bank of the Salzach. Specifically, exactly where the Kapruner Ache flows into the Salzach. Its location is not far from the Tauernspa. Information: Next to the park, the cycle path also runs along the Salzach. The dog park is not very big but can be nicely combined with a walk through the Kapruner Moos. Dog bags and designated barriers are on site. Attention: The dog park is not fully escape-proof.
How do I get to the dog park from Landhaus Kaprun?
From the Landhaus, walk downhill along the paved road to the cycle paths crossroads. There, you turn left onto the cycle track before crossing the Kapruner Ache over a bridge after the MK valley station. Then, you take a sharp left and follow the bank of the Kapruner Ache for 1.5 kilometres. After the Tauernspa, the park is immediately on the left.
With your dog at the Klammsee
Dogs are allowed in the Sgmund-Thun Gorge on a leash. It is open from May to October. It is definitely the most beautiful climb to the Klammsee. Once you reach the top, you can walk along the gorge lake towards the Kitzsteinhorn. The entire walk around the lake is 1.5 kilometres and is also suitable for children. At the southern end of the lake there are some meadows, which are less busy even in high-season and will be a great way for your dog to get some exercise.
How do I get to Klammsee from Landhaus Kaprun?
Downhill on the paved road. Then, immediately after the first bend, turn right onto a small stone path. Follow this shortcut towards Kitzsteinhorn. After passing the “Billa” supermarket, you come to a footpath and cycle path beside the main road. Follow this until the Sigmund-Thun Klamm is signposted on the right.
Dog walks in Kaprun
In Kaprun, there are many walks which are great for your dog. In most places, there are dog bags in small, green metal boxes which you can take out for free. Although everything in Kaprun is very open, you should keep your dog on a leash, especially near children or busy places.
