Since the launch of the new connection between the Maiskogel and the Kitzsteinhorn glacier via the K-onnection, Kaprun has made the skiing experience better. Kitzsteinhorn
As early as October, the Kitzsteinhorn guarantees wonderful sunny skiing with safe snow conditions. On the glacier, perfect ski-slope conditions last even until May. Due to the altitude, you can have a perfect skiing holiday in Kaprun all year round.
Our guests can enjoy many homes with alpine style, which welcomes you to take an enjoyable break. Every year, the ICE CAMP also attracts visitors with its 5 igloos made of ice. In summer and winter, the Gipfelwelt 3000 with its viewing platform offers amazing views of the Hohe Tauern National Park.
Kitzsteinhorn’s Slopes & Opening Hours
The Kitzsteinhorn offers a wide variety of ski-slopes. The options include blue to black slopes. Also, the skiing area in Kaprun is known as a Free Ride Eldorado. Kitzsteinhorn ticket prices

For a long time, the Maiskogel was not popular, but today it is impossible to imagine Kaprun without it. With the new MK-Maiskogelbahn, it also has a direct connection to the Kitzsteinhorn glacier. In the upper area, all skiing enthusiasts will find challenging, black slopes. Due to their north-facing position, you will always have perfect conditions.

In the lower area, young skiers can try small jumps in the Maisi Park.

If the little ones are still not tired, they can finish off the ski day on the Maisflitzer, the Alpine Rollercoaster for the whole family. There is a reduced ticket price for the Maiskogel. The ticket includes the Maiskogel and the Schaufelberg as well as the Lechnerberg. Here is the link to the online shop.
Lechnerberg
Here, all beginners and children will find the fun and ideal introduction to skiing. The Lechnerberg is located directly in the centre of the village and is often called the “Dutch Glacier” by the locals. Of course, this does not take away from the skiing action: while the children take their first turns in the Kinderland, the parents can enjoy the centre of Kaprun.
